[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 30th that three cases related to the promotion of non-face-to-face industries, including Modusign, Plink, and Honeybiz, were selected as excellent examples of the Digital New Deal in April.
The Excellent Cases of the Month for the Digital New Deal system has been implemented since last year to spread the achievements of the Digital New Deal policy. Among the companies participating in the Digital New Deal, those evaluated to have excellent performance and high public awareness and ripple effects are selected and announced.
This month’s excellent cases include two cases that contributed to creating a non-face-to-face work environment for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through IT technology and one case that supported online business for small merchants.
Modusign supplies non-face-to-face electronic contract solutions to domestic SMEs and venture companies through the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ ‘K-Non-face-to-face Service Voucher Project.’ As of March, more than 100,000 companies and institutions and 540,000 users have utilized the service. It is evaluated to have reduced costs and improved work efficiency compared to traditional face-to-face contracts.
Plink also participated in the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ K-Non-face-to-face Service Voucher Project and supported video conferencing solutions to 10 demand companies. Through Plink’s solution, 560,000 online meeting rooms and classrooms were implemented. It is credited with contributing to the creation of a non-face-to-face work and education environment.
Honeybiz participated in the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ small merchant online-offline linkage (O2O) support project and supplies delivery app services to local small merchants at low commission rates. Collaborating with local governments, it operates a public delivery app project based on local gift certificates, securing about 70,000 affiliated stores and contributing to revitalizing the local economy.
The Ministry of Science and ICT stated, “We will continue to discover and promote excellent cases in the Digital New Deal field” and “We will actively support so that many excellent achievements can be produced through the Digital New Deal policy.”
