Donation of Daily Necessities Worth 34 Million KRW Through Yongsan Welfare Foundation
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Comprehensive paper company Kkaekkeutan Nara donated daily necessities worth 34 million won on the 28th to support single-parent families in Yongsan-gu, where its headquarters is located.
This donation was made to reflect on the meaning of Family Month and to support single-parent families facing difficulties. Kkaekkeutan Nara's wet tissues, sanitary pads, and toilet paper rolls will be delivered to single-parent welfare facilities and families through the Yongsan Welfare Foundation.
A Kkaekkeutan Nara official said, "In celebration of Family Month, we decided to support essential daily necessities to help single-parent families," adding, "We will continue to empathize with the difficulties of the local community, coexist, and contribute to creating a healthy and clean world."
Meanwhile, Kkaekkeutan Nara has delivered hygiene products such as masks and hand sanitizers, as well as donations, to medical staff and the local community to overcome the COVID-19 crisis. The total value of the items sponsored in 2020 alone amounted to 330 million won.
Since February, the company has consistently engaged in sharing activities such as providing hygiene products to elderly living alone in the community during the Lunar New Year, donating wet tissues and adult diapers on Disability Day in April, and more. In 2021, it actively participated in the Hope Ondol Warm Winter Project and was recognized for its contribution to spreading a culture of sharing and donation by receiving a commendation from the Mayor of Seoul.
