Intops Conducts Tour of Hidalab, a Specialized CMF Library

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Intops announced on the 27th that it conducted an offline tour of Hidalab, a CMF specialized library.

CMF is a technical term referring to the three important elements designers consider when creating products: Color, Material, and Finish.

Last October, Intops launched the Hidalab website, a CMF specialized library, and established a CMF exhibition hall to propose various materials and related process technology trends to product designers. Furthermore, it began offering services that can be applied to actual mass-produced products. Based on its long-standing manufacturing capabilities, Intops has a specialized advantage in providing an all-in-one service from selecting various materials and process technologies to prototype production and mass production solutions.

The offline tour was held with the purpose of introducing Hidalab not only to existing corporate clients but also to potential general customers, including industrial design university students.

Under the theme "A Special Journey Proposed by Hida for Differentiated Design," the event was planned and conducted as an immersive experience where participants could see, hear, and touch CMF technologies applied to various products such as beauty, automobiles, and electronic devices.

Additionally, through communication with the Intops R&D team, a "CMF Development Story Delivered by Practitioners" was held to enhance participants' understanding of the CMF development process on the manufacturing site and its application to actual products.

Founded in 1981, Intops has grown based on plastic injection molding products. Starting with Samsung Electronics' wired and wireless phones, it has built its reputation as a key partner in the case sector up to the current smartphones. Moreover, based on research, development, and mass production experience over recent years, it has established manufacturing facilities and expertise capable of mass-producing products with various physical properties, including plastic materials, metal, carbon, and real materials.
