[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The Korea Development Institute (KDI) Graduate School of International Policy announced on the 26th that it will hold the first webinar of the 'Development Cooperation Seminar Series' focusing on official development assistance (ODA) partner countries on the 28th.
The KDI Graduate School of International Policy selected five countries out of 27 Korean ODA partner countries based on cooperation potential to understand policy responses amid the COVID-19 situation and discuss future cooperation expansion plans and challenges.
The webinar will be conducted with participation from government officials of the respective countries and international organization experts, featuring presentations and discussions by speakers on various topics.
Starting with the webinar with Colombia on the 28th under the theme "New Perspectives in Development Cooperation," the series will continue throughout the year with Indonesia in July, Uzbekistan in September, Egypt in November, and Ethiopia in December.
Son Wook, Director of Research Cooperation at the KDI Graduate School of International Policy, stated, "Through this webinar, we will discuss major issues of Korea's ODA partner countries and future mutual cooperation plans between countries," adding, "In a situation where physical exchanges are limited due to COVID-19, this webinar is expected to serve as an information-sharing platform."
Meanwhile, the webinar is open to anyone through prior registration, which can be completed via the KDI Graduate School of International Policy website.
