‘Village Enterprises’ Do These Things ... Saeul Headquarters Invites Social Economy Enterprise Expert to Lecture at Seosaeng-myeon Village Enterprise Briefing Session

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters (Head Lee Sang-min) held an expert invitation briefing session on the 25th to help residents of Seosaeng-myeon, Ulju-gun, Ulsan understand village enterprises, one of the social economy enterprises.

The briefing was attended by 20 Seosaeng-myeon village chiefs, including Lee Sang-hoon, chairman of the Seosaeng-myeon Village Chiefs Association, and Bae Jun-ho, head of the Social Economy Development Institute, gave a special lecture.

The special lecture included explanations about understanding village enterprises that can contribute to revitalizing the local economy and creating quality jobs, their current status and establishment procedures, and support systems, followed by a Q&A session with attendees.

Lee Sang-hoon, chairman of the Seosaeng-myeon Village Chiefs Association, said, “I have always been interested in the social economy but had few opportunities for education. Thanks to the Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters for organizing a good special lecture, I learned a lot about social economy enterprises.”

Lee Sang-min, head of Saewool Headquarters, said, “We organized this briefing session to build consensus with the local community and help understanding regarding the establishment of village enterprises for revitalizing the local economy and creating quality jobs. I hope it was helpful to the residents. We will continue to spare no support for revitalizing the local economy.”

Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters has been supporting the establishment and operation of social economy enterprises, such as implementing the ‘2021 Promotional Video Production and SNS Platform Support Project for Social Economy Organizations around Power Plants’ led by the Social Economy Development Institute as part of the 2021 business support project public offering.
