Yamaha Golf Remix Driver "The Secret of Number 5760"

This is Yamaha Golf’s unique marketing strategy. By featuring the number in advertisements, they continuously emphasize the unfamiliar term ‘jikjindo’ (straightness). The moment of inertia of the RMX driver is 5760 go㎠ based on the RMX 220 driver. This figure is very close to the 5,900 go㎠ moment of inertia limit set by the United States Golf Association (USGA). The higher the moment of inertia, the better the directional stability, no loss in distance, and the straighter the ball flight.


According to the Korea Institute of Sport Science (KIGOS), the RMX driver flies about 5 meters farther compared to competitors’ products. It also maintains distance and direction even on off-center hits. Lee Gap-jong, chairman of Orient Golf, the official domestic agency for Yamaha Golf, struck gold by using the number ‘5760’ directly in the advertisement. He proudly said, "Golfers focused on the number ‘5760’ and naturally came to recognize it as a club with an excellent moment of inertia."


Chairman Lee explained, "Advertising is a work of art made up of symbols and images," adding, "It is important to continuously deliver one message and concept to increase recall rate rather than forgetfulness." The ‘RMX Expedition Team,’ which rents and experiences the RMX driver and 7-iron for 20 days, continues. Additionally, club purchases can be exchanged or refunded within three weeks. There is also a Festa event running until October 31, giving away prizes worth 100 million won to 1,856 people.
