Hanjin Strengthens 'Hope Tape' Campaign to Find Long-Term Missing Children with the National Police Agency

Hanjin Strengthens 'Hope Tape' Campaign to Find Long-Term Missing Children with the National Police Agency A consumer is receiving a delivery box with a "Hope Tape" containing information about long-term missing children attached.

[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Hanjin announced on the 25th that it will strengthen the Hope Tape campaign to find long-term missing children in collaboration with the National Police Agency.

Hope Tape is a campaign planned by the National Police Agency to raise public awareness and participation regarding long-term missing children by attaching tape containing information about the missing children, including their appearance at the time of disappearance and their current estimated appearance recreated using the Police Agency’s ‘age progression montage’ technology, to delivery boxes.

Since May last year, Hanjin has attached Hope Tape to delivery boxes sent from the Dongseoul Hub Delivery Terminal (Seoul Integrated Logistics), delivering approximately 300,000 delivery boxes with Hope Tape to customers over the course of a year. The campaign received great response and played a significant role, winning the Grand Prize at the Korea Advertising Awards last year.

Hanjin and the National Police Agency improved reporting convenience by linking the QR code printed on the Hope Tape with the Safe Dream App provided by the Police Agency’s Child, Women, and Disabled Police Support Center, enabling inquiries and reports about missing children. Additionally, the app offers functions such as pre-storing children’s fingerprints to help prevent disappearances. Furthermore, Hanjin plans to expand the campaign by selling Hope Tape to client companies and encouraging their participation.

A Hanjin official said, "In the untact era, we hope that social interest in missing children will grow alongside the increasing number of delivery boxes each year," adding, "We will continue to strengthen the campaign with the National Police Agency and participate in social contribution activities that require national attention."
