Promoting Sancheong, a Simple Travel Destination Filled with Emotion and Romance

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, the number one destination for anti-aging wellness travel, will participate in the ‘2021 Gyeongnam Tourism Expo’.
Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam, will carry out tourism promotion activities centered on Sancheong Hwangmaesan Mirinae Park and Namsa Yedamchon at this expo held for three days from the 20th to the 22nd at the Changwon Convention Center.
The county plans to widely promote Sancheong as a travel destination where emotion and romance coexist through customized marketing strategies such as SNS events targeting people in their 20s and 30s.
In particular, it focused on promoting the ‘Starlight Serenade’ event scheduled to be held at Sancheong Hwangmaesan on June 26. This event proposes Namsa Yedamchon and Sancheong Hwangmaesan Mirinae Park as romantic places where couples in South Korea confess their love.
It also introduces major experiential events of the herbal festival such as the ‘Sancheong Korean Medicine Herb Festival,’ a cultural tourism festival in South Korea, and making herbal hand sanitizers. In addition, excellent agricultural and specialty products including Sancheong beer and wild ginseng liquor, as well as balloon flower anti-aging products, will be exhibited.
Along with this, it introduces experiences such as wearing traditional hanbok in Namsa Yedamchon, presenting Sancheong as South Korea’s number one destination for anti-aging wellness travel.
A county official said, “To revitalize the local tourism industry suffering from the impact of COVID-19, we plan to introduce cultural tourism resources and widely promote differentiated content such as the Hwangmaesan Starlight Serenade and Sancheong Korean Medicine Herb Festival,” adding, “We will do our best to attract tourists by raising awareness of Sancheong, the number one anti-aging wellness destination full of emotion and romance.”
Meanwhile, the ‘2021 Gyeongnam Tourism Expo’ is hosted by Gyeongnam Province and Changwon City and organized by the Gyeongnam Tourism Expo Secretariat. It is held on a scale of about 300 booths from 100 companies to promote excellent tourism resources such as tourism, culture, and festivals in the Gyeongnam region and to find tourism plans that fit current trends.
