[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] The Public Solidarity Union and non-regular workers at Gyeongsang National University Hospital held a press conference in front of the Gyeongnam Provincial Government Office on the 20th, urging, "The president and the board of directors must actively work towards the regularization of non-regular workers at the university hospital."

They pointed out, "It has been four years since President Moon Jae-in promised the regularization of non-regular workers in the public sector, but Gyeongsang National University Hospital still only gives false hope."

They continued, "At the labor-management expert council on the 18th, the hospital insisted only on the existing proposal to set the retirement age for elderly-friendly jobs at 60 years old with a possible one to two-year grace period," adding, "Other national university hospitals have agreed to allow work until 65 years old, but Gyeongsang National University Hospital is ignoring everything."

They raised their voices, saying, "The president of Gyeongsang National University, who holds the appointment rights of the hospital director and can make overall decisions, and the board of directors must actively engage in the regularization of non-regular workers."

Meanwhile, since the 3rd, the Public Solidarity Union Gyeongsang National University Hospital branch has begun an indefinite strike and hunger strike to urge the regularization of non-regular workers.
