[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Naver Labs announced on the 19th that it has launched the 'Naver Labs Open Dataset' page, which gathers and publicly shares high-precision datasets such as indoor and outdoor high-precision maps and positioning datasets in one place.
The Open Dataset is a comprehensive data space that integrates Naver Labs' previously individually released proprietary datasets along with newly constructed datasets into one location.
The newly released page contains all high-precision maps (HD maps) and indoor/outdoor positioning datasets that can be used for research in autonomous vehicles, mobile robots, AR, and XR. It includes outdoor high-precision maps of Magok, Pangyo, Sangam, and Yeouido created with technology developed by Naver Labs, as well as indoor positioning data for department stores and complex spaces.
Anyone interested in the field, including academia, research institutions, and startups, can apply for the datasets and use them according to their research and technology development purposes.
Seok Sang-ok, CEO of Naver Labs, said, "Since the datasets we are releasing require large-scale investment and time to build, we expect that utilizing these datasets will accelerate the technological research of various domestic research institutions and startups."
