[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, reportedly attended a party themed around Dogecoin immediately after his appearance on the American comedy show Saturday Night Live (SNL).

According to a report by a U.S. economic media outlet on the 18th (local time), Musk attended an after-party following his SNL appearance on the 8th.

The after-party, hosted by New York native hotel entrepreneur Ian Schrager who invited Musk and a limited number of guests, was held at the luxury hotel 'Public' in Manhattan, New York. According to sources attending the event, the party was themed around Musk's son, 'Dogecoin.'

The event featured an ice sculpture shaped like the Shiba Inu mascot of Dogecoin, and a dog trainer brought Shiba Inu puppies to the venue for walks, evoking the image of Dogecoin.

However, while Musk attended the Dogecoin party, the price of Dogecoin sharply dropped. Musk joked on SNL that Dogecoin was a scam, which led to Dogecoin falling 38% from its peak price.

As investor anger toward Musk escalated, a coin aiming to remove him even emerged overseas. The cryptocurrency 'StopElon (STOPELON)' was created with the purpose of preventing Musk's manipulation of Bitcoin stocks.

The developer stated, "Elon Musk is notorious for irresponsibly manipulating the cryptocurrency market through his Twitter account. He is playing with people's portfolios and will continue to do so. StopElon will ensure this does not happen again."

The official cryptocurrency website explained, "The project aims to destroy market manipulators," adding, "The funds raised will be used to gain full control of Tesla stock and remove the CEO."
