[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] On the 18th (local time), Singapore expanded the eligibility for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to include those aged 12 to 15.


According to major foreign media, the Singapore Ministry of Health issued a statement on the day saying, "Data shows that the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine demonstrated high efficacy in young people, similar to what was observed in adults."


Previously, Canada, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) approved the Pfizer vaccine for those aged 12 to 15.
