[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] The Shinan Office of Education announced on the 18th that it will operate a 'Visiting Early Childhood Cultural Arts Experience' for 13 affiliated kindergartens in the district.
This event aims to develop young children's emotional sensitivity through various cultural and artistic experience activities and will be held until next month with diverse activities such as puppet shows, magic, balloon mime, and bubble performances.
In particular, to comply with COVID-19 prevention guidelines, the number of viewers was limited to about 20 children per session, and the content was designed to provide emotional impact for children and promote relationships with peers.
A child from Bigeumcho Affiliated Kindergarten who watched the puppet show said, "It was amazing and fun because the puppets seemed to come alive and move."
Kim Jae-heung, the superintendent of education, said, "I hope this cultural arts experience will be a good opportunity for young children to have various cultural and artistic experiences," and added, "We will actively support expanding cultural arts experience opportunities in island areas culturally isolated to stimulate and develop children's sensitivity."
