528 New COVID-19 Cases Reported by 6 PM, 116 More Than Previous Day

According to the quarantine authorities, Seoul city, and other local governments, a total of 528 new confirmed cases tested positive from midnight to 6 p.m. on that day.

This is an increase of 116 cases compared to 412 cases at the same time the previous day. Among the new cases, 366 (69.3%) were from the metropolitan area, and 162 (30.7%) were from non-metropolitan areas.

By city and province, there were 210 cases in Seoul, 134 in Gyeonggi, 26 in Busan, 22 each in Incheon and Ulsan, 21 in Gyeongbuk, 19 in Chungbuk, 17 in Daegu, 14 in Gyeongnam, 13 in Chungnam, 11 in Gangwon, 7 in Jeonbuk, 5 in Jeonnam, 3 each in Gwangju and Daejeon, and 1 in Jeju.

Among the 17 cities and provinces nationwide, Sejong has not yet reported any new confirmed cases.

Since the tally closes at midnight, the number of new confirmed cases announced as of 0:00 on the 19th is expected to increase further to the 600 range.

The previous day, 116 cases were added after 6 p.m., closing at a final count of 528 cases.

From the 12th to this day, the number of new confirmed cases over the past week by day was 635 → 715 → 747 → 681 → 610 → 619 → 528.
