On the 18th, according to the Department of Speech Therapy at Gwangju University, professors and prospective speech therapists are directly participating in the "Community Communication Disorder Treatment Service," which is being conducted at the Speech Therapy Center on the 16th floor of the Hosimgwan building on campus.
The Community Communication Disorder Treatment Service is subdivided into the following areas: ▲Language Development Disorders (children with delayed speech, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, etc.) ▲School-age Language Disorders (assessment of reading and writing abilities in children and adolescents) ▲Articulation and Phonological Disorders (diagnosis of pronunciation problems caused by speech sound production issues) ▲Fluency Disorders (interviews and treatment for stuttering and cluttering) ▲Neurolinguistic Disorders (cognitive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia of speech, and dementia patients) ▲Voice Disorders (voice evaluation and diagnosis).
The Department of Speech Therapy at Gwangju University is training speech therapy experts through systematic theory and clinical practice to provide professional and reliable rehabilitation services to individuals with communication disorders.
Additionally, to contribute to the local community, they are conducting various volunteer activities related to speech therapy in cooperation with relevant institutions and organizations.
