[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Lee Su-kyung, Vice President of the Financial Consumer Protection Division at NH Nonghyup Bank, and employees visited Dadae-ri sister village located in Cheongun-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do on the 18th to carry out sharing activities and help with farm work in preparation for the farming season.
Before the volunteer activities, Vice President Lee Su-kyung and the employees delivered mixed grain sets produced by Cheongun Nonghyup in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi-do to all farming households in the sister village, and carried out maintenance of greenhouse facilities, weeding, and surrounding environment beautification work.
Vice President Lee Su-kyung stated, “With the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic making it difficult to find labor these days, I participated to help farms that are short of workers,” and added, “Nonghyup Bank will continue activities that help rural communities as a partner of the local society.”
Meanwhile, on the 17th, employees from the Fund Management Division of Nonghyup Bank visited rice farming households to remove tomato shoots, and on the 18th, employees from the Public Relations Department visited pear farms located in Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi-do to carry out fruit thinning work, conducting a relay of helping hands during the busy farming season.
