District Learning Club Support Project Call for Applications, Visit or Mail Submission from 26 to 28... Support for Instructor Fees, Textbook Costs, Material Costs, Printing Costs, etc. for Adult Learning Clubs with 7 or More Members
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Mapo-gu (Mayor Yudonggyun) is announcing the '2021 Mapo-gu Learning Club Support Project' to support diverse and continuous learning and volunteer activities for learning clubs in the area.
Adult learning clubs registered at the Mapo-gu Lifelong Learning Center, active in Mapo-gu, and composed of seven or more members regularly engaged in learning activities are all eligible to apply.
Support is available in the fields of learning activities and social participation activity assistance, covering instructor fees, textbook costs, material costs, printing costs, and more. However, simple small gatherings, cases where the instructor is the learning representative, projects receiving subsidies from administrative agencies for the same content, projects for the benefit of specific organizations, one-time events, and projects for political or religious purposes are excluded from support.
The support amount is up to 1,000,000 KRW per learning club, with a total of 20 clubs to be supported.
The district will review the submitted programs internally and make the final selection based on the results of the Mapo-gu Local Subsidy Review Committee.
Results will be individually notified in June, and selected clubs must operate their programs in compliance with COVID-19 prevention guidelines.
Learning clubs wishing to apply should submit the project application form, project plan, proof of identity of the club representative, and confirmation of affiliation with the learning club institution or organization by visiting or mailing to the Mapo-gu Lifelong Learning Center (1st floor, Delight Square, Hapjeong-dong) from May 26 to 28.
For further details regarding this announcement, inquiries can be made to the Mapo-gu Lifelong Learning Center.
Mayor Yudonggyun of Mapo-gu stated, “We plan to continue diversifying support measures for learning clubs,” adding, “By supporting learning clubs, the smallest units of learning communities, we believe we can strengthen the learning competitiveness of the local community and provide various educational opportunities through discovering clubs that reflect learners’ needs.”
