[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Point Mobile, a manufacturer of industrial PDAs, announced on the 17th that it will introduce COVID-19 self-test kits for all employees as a proactive measure against the pandemic.
On this day, Point Mobile distributed self-diagnosis kits to all employees and conducted individual self-tests.
A Point Mobile official explained that by utilizing the self-test kits, they plan to expand testing for all employees to detect confirmed cases early and prevent cluster infections. Additionally, they added that they will establish a more thorough quarantine system by mandating COVID-19 antigen testing.
Regarding antigen testing, the company stated that one person from each department will regularly visit screening clinics weekly for testing, starting from the 24th.
Furthermore, considering side effects from COVID-19 vaccinations, the company plans to grant paid leave to vaccinated employees to support their health recovery.
Kang Samgwon, CEO of Point Mobile, said, “As the COVID-19 spread maintains the crisis alert level, we have proactively introduced self-diagnosis kits to protect the health of our employees and ensure thorough quarantine measures at the company. We will establish a model quarantine system through mandatory antigen testing and paid leave policies for vaccinated employees.”
