The 'Small Business Alley Commercial District Vitality Support Project' is a program that supports alley commercial districts based on business communities to promote the vitality of alley commercial districts.
It was first implemented last year in the Gimhae Workshop Village.
The business communities selected this time are the Changwon City Dwit Daetgeori Merchants Association, Sacheon City Palpo Food Specialty District Shopping Arcade Prosperity Association, and Namhae County Youth Traveler Street Formation Group.
The Changwon City Dwit Daetgeori Merchants Association is a commercial district near Gyeongnam National University Five-way Intersection, and it is planned to transform from a shopping street where only consumption occurs into a space where various customer groups can gather and enjoy culture and play.
The Sacheon City Palpo Food Specialty District Shopping Arcade Prosperity Association aims to develop the area, which is a sashimi restaurant street where the annual Jeoneo Festival is held, into a commercial district incorporating culture and arts such as cultural and tourism flea markets.
Lastly, the Namhae Youth Traveler Street Formation Group is an alley where young merchants gather, aiming to escape from the decline and stagnation of commercial vitality caused by insufficient promotion and marketing, and become a hub for Namhae tourism.
A total of 300 million KRW will be supported by the provincial government, with 100 million KRW each for the three business communities, which is three times the amount compared to last year.
The Gyeongnam Economic Promotion Agency, which is entrusted with carrying out this project, plans to support joint marketing such as event projects by consulting individual stores.
