[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Audi announced on the 17th that it will introduce the pure electric sports utility vehicle (SUV) 'Audi e-tron 50 quattro' and the coupe-style SUV 'e-tron Sportback 50 quattro' to the Korean market.
The 'Audi e-tron 50 quattro' and 'Audi e-tron Sportback 50 quattro' each feature two powerful electric motors mounted at the front and rear of the vehicle. The combined maximum output is 313 horsepower with a maximum torque of 55.1 kg·m, and the top speed is 190 km/h (safety limited speed).
Both the 'Audi e-tron 50 quattro' and 'Audi e-tron Sportback 50 quattro' are equipped with a 71 kWh lithium-ion battery, enabling driving ranges of 210 km and 220 km respectively on a single charge based on combined standards. The time required to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h is 6.8 seconds.
Both models are equipped with Audi's electric all-wheel-drive system, the electronic quattro, which recovers energy from all four wheels, resulting in excellent energy efficiency.
The adaptive air suspension, installed as standard on both models, automatically adjusts the vehicle height by up to 76 mm depending on speed and driving style, providing dynamic and stable driving performance, the company emphasized.
The Advanced Line exterior is applied as standard, completing a sophisticated exterior design. The vertical strut 8-sided single-frame front grille and the diffuser without exhaust pipes at the front of the vehicle highlight the design features of the pure electric model and visually express the electrification of the 'Audi e-tron 50 quattro' and 'Audi e-tron Sportback 50 quattro,' the company explained.
The spacious and comfortable interior features delicate details through the Volcano Gray inlay, a double-spoke multifunction leather steering wheel with shift paddles and heating, and leather seats with various functions, providing a comfortable travel experience for both driver and passengers, the company added.
The various standard safety and convenience features also stand out. 'Adaptive Cruise Assist,' which guides the driver in longitudinal and lateral directions at all driving speeds; 'Side Assist,' which flashes warning lights on the side mirrors when vehicles approach from blind spots or the rear; and the 'Intersection Assist System,' which recognizes crossroad traffic ahead and warns of potential collisions with approaching vehicles, all help facilitate convenient driving.
The price of the 'Audi e-tron 50 quattro' is 98,059,000 KRW, and the price of the 'Audi e-tron Sportback 50 quattro' is 101,986,000 KRW (including VAT, based on the reduced individual consumption tax rate).
