The LG CLOi Disinfection Bot demonstrates sterilizing classrooms as it moves around. This robot uses a UV-C (Ultraviolet-C) lamp to eliminate bacteria. UV-C ultraviolet light, with wavelengths between 100 and 280 nanometers, is widely used to remove various bacteria. The Korea Conformity Laboratories (KCL) confirmed that the UV-C lamp on this robot sterilizes 99.9% of E. coli within a distance of 50 cm.

The LG CLOi Serve Bot is tasked with transporting items to classrooms from the policy promotion booth inside the exhibition. This robot operates based on autonomous driving and obstacle avoidance technologies, making it suitable for operation in schools with many children. Notably, it can independently use elevators to move between floors, allowing it to deliver items even when the starting point and destination are on different floors.

The Korea Education Expo is a leading education industry exhibition hosted by the Korea Education and Green Environment Research Institute and Expo Forum Co., Ltd. Last year, 300 companies participated, and over 40,000 visitors attended. LG Electronics is positioning robots as a core future business and is focusing on services easily accessible in daily life, showcasing various customized solutions such as hotel solutions, hospital solutions, and F&B solutions.

Roh Kyu-chan, Executive Vice President in charge of LG Electronics’ Robot Business, said, "Demand for non-face-to-face services is increasing in the education sector as well. We will continue to develop robot service solutions that provide customers with new experiences and value, as well as assist in everyday life."
