[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gyeonggi Province is promoting a project to discover outstanding startups within the province, enhance their investment attraction capabilities, and actually assist them from investment attraction to overseas expansion.

Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency announced on the 17th that they will implement the "2021 Gyeonggi Startup Platform and Gyeonggi Startup Hub Investment Activation Support Program" with this content.

This project is divided into the 'Gyeonggi Startup Platform Investment Attraction Support Program' for startups within the province and the 'Gyeonggi Startup Hub Global Accelerating Support Program' for companies residing in startup support facilities within the province.

The 'Gyeonggi Startup Platform Investment Attraction Support Program' plans to select 5 startups each month until September, supporting a total of 25 companies.

Selected startups will receive support such as ▲IR (Investor Relations) capability enhancement consulting ▲mock IR for investors ▲1:1 matching mentoring with professional investors ▲networking opportunities with investors and senior-junior startups.

Through monthly investment IR days, one excellent company will be selected each time, giving a total of 5 companies the opportunity to participate in the 'Investment Conference' scheduled for October, and two outstanding startups at the investment conference will receive commercialization fund awards.

The 'Gyeonggi Startup Hub Global Accelerating Support Program' selects and supports 10 companies residing in startup support facilities within the province that wish to expand overseas and attract investment.

Selected companies will receive support such as ▲customized 1:1 mentoring and company diagnosis ▲preparation of business plans (in English) and pitching consulting for overseas expansion ▲matching with overseas investors and buyers.

Additionally, they will be given the opportunity to participate in the 'Global Day' scheduled for October, and three excellent companies with high potential for investment attraction and overseas expansion will receive commercialization fund awards.
