[Asia Economy Reporter Joo-mi Lee] Former Ministers of Justice Cho Kuk and Choo Mi-ae posted certification shots of 'Teacher's Day cakes,' while Heo Eun-ah, a member of the People Power Party, criticized, saying, "It is not a gift from their students but a tribute from Kim Eo-jun."
On the 16th, Representative Heo said on her Facebook, "Seeing them boast about the cake sent from 'Ddanzi,' Kim Eo-jun's base, it seems they missed the support of pro-Moon Jae-in factions." She added, "Well, since these two ministers have properly taught the public the true face of a regime where justice and fairness have disappeared, they deserve to receive Teacher's Day gifts," and said, "Enjoy it."
Former Minister Cho immediately refuted these claims. He said, "I am dumbfounded by such delusional claims," and insisted, "The Teacher's Day cake was not sent by Kim Eo-jun."
He continued, "Since Kim Eo-jun is not my 'student,' why would he send such a cake?" and emphasized, "It is one of the cakes sent by my students and acquaintances."
Earlier, on the day before Teacher's Day (the 15th), former Minister Cho posted a photo of a cake with the inscription 'Thank you, Teacher Cho Kuk, on Teacher's Day' on Facebook, writing, "It is Teacher's Day for teachers who cannot return to school."
It appeared to be a gift from a Seoul National University student to former Minister Cho, a professor at Seoul National University School of Law, in celebration of Teacher's Day.
However, the situation reversed when former Minister Choo posted a photo of a cake similar in form to the one received by former Minister Cho on the same day.
Former Minister Choo revealed a photo of a three-tier cake inscribed with 'Thank you, former Minister Choo Mi-ae, on Teacher's Day' on Facebook.
She said, "Those who have supported livelihood reform and prosecution reform sent flowers, cakes, and rice cakes with especially precious and heartfelt feelings through the Ddanzi bulletin board on Teacher's Day. I will not forget it. I love you. I respect you."
Ddanzi Ilbo is an internet media outlet created by broadcaster Kim Eo-jun, who has recently been embroiled in controversy over biased broadcasting and high appearance fees.
