Gangbuk-gu Operates 'Pre-Reservation Call Center' for COVID-19 Vaccination

Gangbuk-gu Operates 'Pre-Reservation Call Center' for COVID-19 Vaccination

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (District Mayor Park Gyeom-su) is operating a COVID-19 vaccination pre-reservation call center until June 3.

The pre-reservation targets are elderly aged 60 to 74, patients with chronic severe respiratory diseases, and teachers of kindergarten, daycare centers, and 1st to 2nd grade elementary school students, who will receive the AstraZeneca vaccine. Care workers, essential social workers, and healthcare workers who were not vaccinated in the second quarter can also make reservations.

Elderly aged 65 to 74 and patients with chronic severe respiratory diseases will be vaccinated starting from the 27th, and other reservation groups from June 7.

Phone reservations can only be made by the individual. After verifying personal information, the vaccination location, date, and time are set. Once the reservation is completed, a confirmation message is sent within one hour. If health conditions are poor the day before or on the day of vaccination, the individual must contact the designated medical institution in advance to reschedule. The call center operates on weekdays from 9 AM to 6 PM.

Vulnerable groups who have difficulty with pre-reservation can visit a nearby community service center with their mobile phone registered in their name and ID card to receive assistance. Online pre-reservation is also available. It can be done by the individual or a proxy on the government-operated website.

The district has selected 89 entrusted medical institutions within the area to ensure smooth vaccination. Nine new call center staff have been hired, and dedicated staff have been assigned to each community service center.

The list of entrusted medical institutions can be found on the district office website (news section) or the government’s ‘COVID-19 Vaccination Pre-Reservation’ website.

Gangbuk District Mayor Park Gyeom-su said, “Starting this month, large-scale vaccination targeting general residents aged 60 to 74 will officially begin,” and added, “We ask everyone to participate on the designated dates for prompt COVID-19 vaccination.”
