Gyeongbuk Province Hosts 'Integrity Culture' YouTube Video Contest ... "Aiming for Top Integrity Grade This Year"

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Gyeongbuk Province, which has set a goal to achieve a first-grade integrity rating this year, announced on the 16th that it will hold a 'YouTube Video Contest' to promote a culture of integrity from the 17th to June 13.

Participants can submit entries on any topic freely, such as stories of integrity in daily life at home, school, or workplace, or stories related to major incidents or figures associated with anti-corruption and integrity in Gyeongbuk.

Anyone from middle school students and above can participate. There are no restrictions on format, including advertisements, vlogs, animations, music videos, etc. Applicants can participate through the Gyeongbuk Province website.

Gyeongbuk Province will select six works each from the general division and the student division (middle and high school students), awarding the Governor's Commendation and prize money up to 2 million KRW. The works will be used for future integrity education and promotion for public officials in Gyeongsangbuk-do.

Jung Gyu-sik, Auditor of Gyeongbuk Province, stated, "Through the Gyeongbuk Integrity YouTube Video Contest, we expect various opinions on the public’s perception of Gyeongbuk’s integrity image and the direction of integrity that Gyeongbuk should pursue."

Meanwhile, since Governor Lee Cheol-woo took office, Gyeongbuk Province had remained in the lower ranks in the integrity evaluation conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission but rose two grades from 4th grade the previous year to 2nd grade last year.

Gyeongbuk Province has been focusing administrative efforts on achieving a first-grade integrity rating, including announcing a comprehensive anti-corruption and integrity plan with 29 detailed implementation tasks last March.
