Creation of Indoor Gardens Including Woodworking Experience Centers
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 14th that it has created a 'Smart Garden' using automated plant management technology inside the Wolasan Woodland woodworking experience center and the forest children's library.
The Smart Garden creation project, implemented as a Forestry Agency subsidized project, is a garden creation project that combines indoor air-purifying plants and smart technology to expand the healing and ornamental effects of gardens into indoor spaces, in response to recent social issues such as fine dust reduction and the demand for a pleasant living environment.
The woodworking experience center within Woodland, where the smart garden was installed this time, is a popular place for children to enjoy woodworking experiences. It is expected to provide eye-level education on environmental issues such as fine dust, along with a pleasant and diverse visual experience.
Meanwhile, Wolasan Woodland has been temporarily closed since August last year due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and large-scale forest welfare facility construction projects such as Wolasan Natural Recreation Forest and forest leisure sports complexes. Jinju City explained that they plan to review the reopening after the completion of parking lot improvement construction at the end of June.
