'Dream Package' to be held in Busan on June 5 and Gwangju on June 25
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Dongguk University will conduct a mock interview program for examinees and parents preparing for the early admission student record-based screening.
The Dongguk University Admissions Office announced on the 14th that it will hold the 'Dream Package Program,' which provides guidance on the early admission process and conducts mock interviews on June 5 and 26. The event will be held at BEXCO in Busan on the 5th and at the Kim Daejung Convention Center in Gwangju on the 26th.
The Dongguk University Dream Package Program includes ▲ disclosure of last year's student record comprehensive screening results ▲ guidance on the 2022 student record-based screening ▲ presentation of successful cases by the screening notifier 'Dreamer' ▲ mock interviews and feedback.
The Dongguk University mock interviews use a multi-faceted evaluation system, allowing feedback simultaneously from admissions officers, peers, and high school teachers. It provides an opportunity to observe other students' interviews, think from the interviewer's perspective, and reflect on one's own interview.
The mock interview observation by high school teachers, introduced for the first time last year, will be conducted again this year. High school teachers observe the mock interview process and provide feedback to students. After the mock interviews, there is also time to share opinions.
Applications for participants in the Yeongnam region (Busan) are open until the 24th, and for the Honam region (Gwangju) from the 31st of this month to May 14, through the Dongguk University Admissions Office website. A total of 300 final participants will be selected, 150 per region.
The application period for high school teacher observers is the same. Only one teacher per high school can apply, and 24 observers per region will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Selected participants will be notified via the website and individual text messages after the application deadline.
Director of Admissions Kang Gyu-young said, "In a situation where access to information has become more difficult due to COVID-19, we aim to provide prospective examinees and high school teachers with an opportunity to directly experience the interview evaluation process through regionally conducted admissions information programs."
