[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 14th that it will operate the knowledge delivery service ‘Knowledge Delivery, Yogiyo’ starting June 14.
Knowledge Delivery is a demand-tailored knowledge delivery service that lends and returns the representative book of Gimhae City’s Book of the Year 2023, "Uriui Bulhaeng-eun Dangyeonhaji Anseumnida" (Kim Nuri, 2020), for adults who find it difficult to borrow books due to their busy daily lives, and if desired, provides a venue and instructor for reading discussions.
The operation method is that an organization applying for the service can borrow and return the Book of the Year representative book on the desired date, and after the group reading is finished, for groups that wish, a reading instructor will be dispatched to a lecture room in the municipal library within the city to support discussions.
By including the process of delivering more comprehensive ‘knowledge’ beyond just the ‘book’ through reading and subsequent reading discussions, this service is a more advanced service compared to those previously provided.
Applications will be accepted from the 17th via official documents and email, and the schedule will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.
More detailed information about the project can be found in the notices section on the Gimhae Integrated Library website.
Baeseon-yeong, Director of the Talent Development Support Division, said, “As a result of operating the Gimhae City Book of the Year reading relay so far, applications from adults have been low, but we hope this service operation will provide an opportunity for adults to take an interest in the Book of the Year project.”
