GS Shop, University Student Volunteer Group 'Real Love 12th Generation' Online Launch Ceremony

GS Shop, University Student Volunteer Group 'Real Love 12th Generation' Online Launch Ceremony GS Shop will hold the inauguration ceremony for the 12th generation of the university student volunteer group 'Real Love' online on the 15th.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] GS Shop announced on the 14th that it will hold the launch ceremony of the university student volunteer group ‘Real Love 12th Generation’ online on the 15th. Real Love is a social contribution activity conducted jointly by GS Shop and Hope Friends Kia Support, where university students selected nationwide help provide academic and emotional support to socially marginalized children in local communities.

This online launch ceremony will be held simultaneously via Zoom and YouTube streaming, with 240 university students and students on leave selected as the 12th generation of Real Love participating. The event will include a certificate awarding ceremony, an annual schedule briefing, and division of roles by each team.

Real Love, which aims to alleviate the learning gap and provide emotional support to socially marginalized children in local communities due to COVID-19, will be conducted over a total of four months from June to September. During the activity period, university student volunteers will be matched one-on-one with children from 30 local children’s centers nationwide. From the 1st to the 3rd week of each month, they will engage in learning activities, and in the last week of each month, they will conduct play activities with all the children at the centers.

A GS Shop official said, “The Real Love volunteer group is meaningful in that it supports not only the academic needs but also the emotional aspects of children who need love and attention during a time when they socialize with friends,” adding, “Although there are difficulties in conducting the program untact, we hope it will be a good experience for both the university students and the children.”
