Recruitment of Street Performance Group 'Gangdong Busker' to Revitalize Street Performances Until the 21st... Selected Gangdong Buskers to Get Performance Opportunities at Various Public Institution Events Until December

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Jeong-hoon) is recruiting the Gangdong Busker street performance group, which is being promoted to revitalize local culture and support artists' activities, until the 21st of this month.

The recruitment targets are cultural and artistic groups and clubs with ties to the local area, and the fields of recruitment include any genre capable of street performances such as music, instrumental, traditional, and performance arts.

Groups selected as 'Gangdong Busker' to lead the Gangdong Street Culture and Arts Performances will be supported to participate and perform at various events hosted by public institutions until December.

Applications can be submitted by downloading the application form from the 'Notices/Announcements' board on the Gangdong-gu website, filling it out, and either visiting the Gangdong-gu Office Culture and Arts Division in person or submitting it via email to the person in charge (gdmunhwa5240@gd.go.kr).

'Gangdong Busker' will be finally selected through document review and performance activity video screening, and the selection results will be announced on the website.

Lee Jeong-hoon, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, said, "We are looking for Gangdong Buskers who will bring vitality to the local community, which has been stagnant due to COVID-19, through various cultural and artistic street performances," and added, "We ask for the interest and participation of local artists."
