Professor Kim Kyunghwa of Dongui Science University awarded the Presidential Citation on the 40th Teachers' Day for contributions to talent development in the 'Police and Security' field Professor Kim Kyunghwa, Dong-Eui Science University.


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Professor Kim Kyung-hwa of the Police Administration Department at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President Kim Young-do) received the Presidential Citation on the occasion of the 40th Teachers' Day for her contributions to the development of vocational education and talent cultivation.


Since being appointed as a professor in the Police Administration Department (majoring in Criminal Law) at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology in 2005, Professor Kim Kyung-hwa has devoted herself to competency-based education by imparting academic and technical know-how in her field of expertise. She was recognized for her contributions to nurturing police and security talents.


After being appointed as the Director of the Lifelong Education Center in 2017 and the Director of University Planning in 2018, she played a leading role in establishing the university’s vision and mid- to long-term development plans.


In 2019, as the head of the Innovation Support Project Group, she significantly contributed to the university achieving the highest grade (A) in the first-year annual evaluation of the Specialized College Innovation Support Project last year, including the university basic competency diagnosis evaluation and the Specialized College Innovation Support Project.


She actively fulfilled social responsibilities by volunteering in various fields such as crime prevention, human rights, environment, and correctional welfare in the Busan area, serving as a judge and evaluation committee member for the Busan Police Agency, an advisory member for the Busan City Council, and a prosecutor ombudsman for the Busan Prosecutor’s Office.


Professor Kim Kyung-hwa said, “Since my appointment, I have worked hard for the development of the university and my department. I am very honored and grateful as a professor, and I will devote myself to nurturing creative and convergent talents in my major while fulfilling my duties as an educator.”
