According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 13th, as of midnight, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the Gyeongbuk area increased by 23 (including 1 imported case) from the previous day to 4,382 (including 120 imported cases).


By region, confirmed cases were 10 in Gimcheon-si, 4 each in Pohang-si and Gyeongju-si, 2 in Cheongsong-gun, and 1 each in Andong-si, Gumi-si, and Gyeongsan-si.


Among the 10 in Gimcheon-si, 5 were contacts of Gimcheon case number 176 confirmed the previous day. The infection route of 2 others was unidentified.


The 4 confirmed cases in the Pohang area were soldiers in the military unit who tested positive during testing before the end of self-quarantine after returning from leave. The 4 confirmed cases in Gyeongju-si were contacts of previously confirmed local cases.


In Cheongsong-gun, 2 contacts of Cheongsong case number 50, confirmed on the 7th, tested positive during self-quarantine, and in Andong-si, 1 person who had contact with a previously confirmed case tested positive during self-quarantine.


The new confirmed case in Gumi-si was an imported case, and in Gyeongsan-si, 1 contact related to a local church tested positive before the end of self-quarantine.


In Gyeongsangbuk-do, 114 people (excluding imported cases) were confirmed positive across various regions over the past week, resulting in a weekly daily average of 16.3 confirmed cases. Currently, 2,440 people are under self-quarantine.
