On the 12th, the government joint special investigation headquarters (Special Investigation Headquarters) announced that it is investigating speculation allegations involving five high-ranking public officials, including current executives of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs and the National Election Commission, two former division commander-level military generals, and a former Administrator of the Administrative City Construction Agency (Haengbok Agency).
These five individuals are suspected of using insider information related to real estate development to speculate in development areas such as Sejong City and Yanggu, Gangwon Province.
