Heo Seok, Mayor of Suncheon, Holds On-Site Communication Meeting with Entrepreneurs from Yulchon and Haeryong Industrial Complexes

Seeking Customized Policy Development Through Listening to Voices from Corporate Sites

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 12th that Mayor Heo Seok held a meeting with businesspeople by visiting the Yulchon and Haeryong Industrial Complexes on the 10th to encourage small and medium-sized enterprises struggling due to COVID-19 and to listen to their difficulties.

Mayor Heo visited Worldcopter Korea Co., Ltd., an aircraft parts and airboat manufacturing company located in the Yulchon Industrial Complex.

CEO Lee Won-hak expressed difficulties regarding the lack of systems for new technology and product development and utilization, prompting the city to request system improvements from central government agencies.

At the subsequent meeting, businesspeople including Shin Myung-gyun, chairman of the Yulchon and Haeryong Industrial Complex Association and CEO of Nara Panel, presented various opinions such as overcoming COVID-19 damages, improving rest facilities, and job projects. They also expressed gratitude for the city’s efforts to create a pleasant industrial complex environment through projects like fine dust blocking forests and mowing projects currently underway.

Mayor Heo said, “We will do our best to listen to the regulations and difficulties of individual companies to provide practical solutions for businesses in order to create a business-friendly environment.”

Meanwhile, the city plans to continuously hold on-site meetings to further strengthen communication administration with companies.
