[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] The Blue House clarified that it is not true that Song Young-gil, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, conveyed opinions of disqualification regarding some ministerial candidates to the Blue House.

A Blue House official said on the 12th during a meeting with reporters, "After confirming with the relevant senior secretary's office, it is not true that Leader Song Young-gil expressed opinions of disqualification to the Blue House."

Regarding the opposition voices from first-term lawmakers, the Blue House official explained, "It can be seen as a process of gathering various opinions, including those of first-term lawmakers."

Meanwhile, the National Assembly held confirmation hearings for candidates including Im Hye-sook, the nominee for Minister of Science and ICT, but due to disagreements between the ruling and opposition parties, it failed to adopt hearing reports for three candidates including Im. President Moon Jae-in has requested the National Assembly to resubmit the hearing reports by the 14th.
