'Cookie Run Daebak' Devsisters to Pay 400% Performance Bonus on Salary

[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Devsisters, which succeeded in the hit of 'Cookie Run: Kingdom,' announced on the 12th that it paid performance bonuses equivalent to 400% of monthly salaries to corporations and related organizations that contributed to recent earnings.

Devsisters explained, "The amount is equivalent to one-third of the annual salary, which is among the highest levels in the industry for short-term performance rewards."

The company also gave separate encouragement bonuses to members belonging to new projects.

Devsisters will introduce a 'Stock Grant' system using employee stock ownership as a long-term performance reward policy.

Based on annual operating profit and loss, employee stock ownership will be granted to all employees across the company. This year, about 5 billion KRW worth will be contributed to the employee stock ownership association.

This amounts to a basic 10 million KRW per person, with additional amounts based on years of service, reaching up to 20 million KRW. The mandatory deposit period is four years.

The employee stock ownership will be allocated in June, and regular employees who joined in April this year are eligible. The second half allocation will be paid in December to those who joined by October.

For overseas subsidiaries and executives who cannot join the association, compensation of equivalent scale will be provided through Restricted Stock Units (RSU) with transfer restrictions.

Devsisters stated, "By implementing industry-leading short- and long-term compensation policies, we express our gratitude and encouragement for the hard work of our members, and furthermore, aim to secure excellent talent and strengthen global competitiveness."

Meanwhile, Devsisters posted sales of 105.4 billion KRW and operating profit of 23.8 billion KRW in the first quarter of this year. Sales increased by 475% compared to the previous year, and operating profit not only turned positive but also recorded an all-time high. Securities firms estimate that Devsisters will escape perennial losses over the past six years and record operating profits in the 100 billion KRW range this year.
