This accounts for 74.8% of the total allocation of 1.16 million cases, a rate similar to last year. The application deadline is the end of this month.

On the 12th, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced that the application period for this year's Basic Direct Payment, which began on the 1st of last month, will end on the 31st. The ministry urged farmers who have not yet applied to promptly visit their local township, town, or neighborhood office where their farmland is located. This week, text messages encouraging Basic Direct Payment applications will be sent to farmers who have not yet applied.

An official from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs stated, "Care must be taken to prevent cases where payments are not received due to failure to apply on time," and added, "We will do our best to ensure that the Basic Direct Payment application process proceeds smoothly by closely cooperating with local governments, the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service, and other related organizations until the application deadline."
