Guro-gu, Why Did They Roll Up Their Sleeves to Improve Employment Conditions for G-Valley Companies?

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) is taking steps to improve the employment environment of G-Valley companies.

On the 12th, Guro-gu announced, "We are preparing an employment environment improvement program to help G-Valley companies struggling with management difficulties due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic."

The support targets are about 50 companies located in G-Valley, mainly in the IT and SW fields, with priority given to companies affected by COVID-19.

First, 'Employment Consulting' will be conducted. Employment consulting is a program where a certified labor attorney analyzes the basic status and survey data of each company and provides one-on-one customized counseling.

The counseling covers ▲ personnel and labor management methods for stable business operation such as flexible working systems and wage processing plans ▲ guidance and linkage of various support systems such as the Youth Digital Job Project, National Employment Support System, and COVID-19 related subsidies.

Companies wishing to receive consulting can apply by signing up as members on the 'G-Valley Job Sharing Platform' by the end of September. Recruitment is on a first-come, first-served basis and may close early.

The 'G-Valley Specialized On-the-Job Training (OJT) Consulting' program will also be operated. Through counseling and workshops for job proficiency, it aims to solve recruitment problems caused by lack of specialized skills or frequent turnover and to nurture core talents who will lead the 4th Industrial Revolution.

In addition, Guro-gu has prepared a 'G-Valley Job Matching Center' space within 'Guro Youth Space Youth Irum' (1130 Ori-ro) to operate the 'G-Valley Job Sharing Platform' both online and offline. Through this, it provides job seekers with job information and companies with employment support policies, including corporate support policies and employment/entrepreneurship information.

Meanwhile, Guro-gu is also participating in the 'G-Valley Job Creation Cooperation Network,' where 18 organizations including the government, local governments, and related G-Valley institutions cooperate to identify job issues and seek solutions.

At the end of the year, excellent G-Valley companies will be selected and business performance will be analyzed.

A Guro-gu official said, "We hope this project will help both companies struggling with management difficulties and workers suffering from employment instability," and added, "We will continue to do our best to prepare support measures for G-Valley companies."
