Yoon Hee-seok, spokesperson for the People Power Party, said in a statement, "Even ruling party lawmakers are demanding the withdrawal of the nomination, so what is the reason for insisting on the appointment?" He criticized, "It would be better to confess that no one wants to accompany the failed regime's last moments."
Spokesperson Yoon pointed out, "The failure to verify ministerial candidates is not because the opposition party opposed it. It is because they deceived the public with various corruptions such as under-the-table contracts, false address registrations, plagiarism of theses, smuggling of ceramics, and insider trading," adding, "This regime itself thoroughly ignored the '7 major personnel exclusion principles' it had set."
He continued, "Now only the Democratic Party's choice remains," and said, "We hope that the behavior of turning the National Assembly into a rubber stamp and denying the existence of the legislative branch will not be repeated."
