[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lee Je-hoon, the new president of Homeplus, stated on the 11th, "We will revive offline competitiveness and strengthen our online business to create a shopping environment preferred by customers across all lines (All-line)."
In his greeting at the inauguration ceremony held untact on the same day, President Lee said, "We will fulfill corporate social responsibility through ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) management to build a company supported by customers, and create a workplace where our first customers, the employees, are happy," adding, "Going forward, Homeplus will focus on four directions centered on customers."
President Lee emphasized, "By developing and providing various products and services in line with rapidly changing consumer trends, we will offer customers a new shopping experience," and "We will continuously create reasons for customers to visit Homeplus."
He also stated, "Homeplus was the first in the industry to start online business in 2002 and is a symbol of retail logistics, having introduced the first urban logistics center in Korea. Additionally, our 123 Hyper stores and 253 Express stores function as small-scale urban logistics centers, and the same-day delivery rate for Hyper stores exceeds 80%," adding, "We will further strengthen the excellent legacy of our online division and the logistics competitiveness on the ground to create the most preferred shopping environment for customers."
Earlier, President Lee decided that his first work location on the previous day would be a store site rather than the head office office, and began his first task by directly meeting store employees to hear their voices from the field.
