[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Despite the difficult economic situation caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, the continuous scholarship donations from companies in the Damyang area are giving warm inspiration.


The Damyang Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Choi Hyungsik) announced on the 10th that on the 7th, Inwon Industry Co., Ltd. (CEO Choi Cheolwon) and Seongsan Industry Ltd. (President Lee Hyungrae) each donated 5 million won in scholarships to be used for nurturing local talents despite the difficult conditions caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.


Inwon Industry Co., Ltd., located in Bongsan-myeon, is a company specializing in construction waste, aggregate production, and asbestos removal. Since 2016, it has been donating scholarships annually, contributing a total of 40 million won to date, showing its love for local talents.


Seongsan Industry Ltd., operating in the Daejeon-myeon area, manufactures non-metallic mineral products such as artificial granite blocks and turf blocks, and has donated a total of 10 million won since 2019.


Both companies said, "As we have grown together with the local community, we decided to fulfill our corporate social responsibility and contribute even a little to nurturing local juniors by donating scholarships," adding, "We will continue to strive to be a strong support for future generations."
