Thorough Promotion of Business Review Planned at the Beginning of the Year

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Seo Chunsu, the mayor of Hamyang County, urged thorough inspections to ensure that the projects planned at the beginning of the year proceed without any setbacks during an executive meeting.

On the morning of May 10, the county held an executive meeting chaired by Mayor Seo, where important pending projects to be promoted by each department were reported, and cooperation from each department was secured to ensure smooth project progress.

On this day, Mayor Seo said, “Already one-third of this year has passed, so please thoroughly review the projects planned at the beginning of the year once again, and take all possible measures to actively resolve any issues so that the projects can proceed without any setbacks.”

He continued, “As COVID-19 continues to spread due to recent visits to other regions, strict compliance with personal hygiene rules and quarantine guidelines is necessary,” adding, “Since this is a time when infection spread is more worrisome than ever, active participation from the residents as well as exemplary leadership from public officials is required.”

Mayor Seo also emphasized the upcoming May 12th Ma-cheon Doma Terraced Paddy Field Restoration Project proclamation ceremony, saying, “This is the first step toward registering the terraced paddy fields, our precious agricultural heritage, as a national major agricultural heritage,” and urged, “Please make every effort to ensure it becomes a valuable tourist resource linked with Jirisan Mountain.”

In addition, he requested thorough efforts in advancing urgent tasks such as early fiscal spending, promotion of pledged projects, securing national and provincial funding, increasing population, and preparing for the Expo.

Mayor Seo stated, “With the 2021 Hamyang Wild Ginseng Anti-Aging Expo just about four months away, it is important for each department to carefully review Expo-related tasks and complete preparations before the event,” and urged, “Please actively gather residents’ opinions and do your utmost to make the Expo a success that all residents and hometown supporters can participate in.”
