[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seong Jang-hyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, visited the COVID-19 vaccination center on the 10th to greet the elderly.

The vaccination center is located in the planning exhibition room of Yongsan Art Hall in the district's Comprehensive Administrative Town (150 Noksapyeong-daero). It covers a total area of 1,150㎡ and includes spaces for filling out medical questionnaires and waiting, computer verification, medical examination and vaccination, and monitoring for adverse reactions. It operates on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The district began operating the center on the 15th of last month and has been administering Pfizer vaccinations to seniors aged 75 and older. Transportation services such as shuttle buses are also provided.

Mayor Seong inspects the center site 5 to 6 times a week.

Seong Jang-hyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, "10,000 seniors aged 75 and older have completed their vaccinations," and added, "Starting this month, vaccinations for seniors aged 60 to 74 will be conducted concurrently through local designated medical institutions."

Reservations for vaccinations for those aged 60 to 74 can be made online (COVID-19 Vaccination Pre-Reservation System) or through the Yongsan-gu call center. Staff at the local community service centers also assist with reservations. When visiting the community service center, individuals must bring their ID and mobile phone.
