[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] On the 7th, Okgok-myeon in Gwangyang-si, Jeollanam-do, held a launch ceremony for the "Clean Jeonnam Best Village Creation" project with about 10 attendees, including the village heads of Singi, Myeongju, and Seonyu villages and representatives of each village, the office announced on the 10th.
At the launch ceremony, the "Clean Jeonnam Best Village Designation Certificate" was presented, and the "Okgok-myeon?Village Promotion Team Project Implementation Agreement" was signed to ensure the successful promotion of the project. There was also a session to listen to the purpose of the project and related guidance.
Singi Village, designated as the Best Village this year, is located in the center of the myeon and plans to improve the image of Okgok-myeon by planting and arranging bright seasonal flowers. Myeongju Village and Seonyu Village plan to create warm and cozy spaces through mural painting.
Seo Jeong-ok, head of Okgok-myeon, said, "Through this launch ceremony, I hope that the village residents will develop a sense of ownership in beautifying their village, harmonize with each other, and create a village community full of affection among neighbors."
Meanwhile, the "Clean Jeonnam Best Village Creation" project is a key policy promoted by Jeonnam Province to restore the spirit of village communities and create a clean surrounding environment through a change in residents' awareness that "I cultivate my village with my own hands" and voluntary participation.
