[Moon 4th Anniversary Speech] President Moon, Speaking Sparingly, "Yoon Seok-yeol Is Being Recognized as the Next Presidential Candidate..."

Next President's Virtues Emphasize Spirit of the Times and Sense of Balance... "Prosecutorial Reform Has Reached an Important Milestone"

[Asia Economy reporters Ryu Jeong-min and Park Joon-yi] On the 10th, President Moon Jae-in, during a special speech marking his 4th anniversary in office at the Blue House Chunghwacang, was asked about former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol and responded, "Since former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol is being recognized as a leading candidate for the next presidential election, it seems appropriate for me not to say anything," choosing to withhold further comment.

Regarding the qualities needed for the next president, President Moon emphasized, "I have been asked similar questions several times in the past, and my answer has always been the same. First, one must align with the spirit of the times and have a sense of balance. It is important to accurately see the direction in which our history is progressing."

After being asked about nominee Kim Oh-soo for Prosecutor General, President Moon said, "I believe that our government has finally achieved significant reforms on issues that have been pursued for decades in prosecutorial reform," adding, "It is desirable to move toward more complete reforms."

Regarding doubts about nominee Kim's political neutrality, President Moon expressed skepticism. He stated, "It is incomprehensible to doubt political neutrality simply because he served as Deputy Minister of Justice," and added, "Considering various investigations including those related to nuclear power plants, I believe the prosecution no longer fears the power of the Blue House."
