Jeju Air "Travel to Jeju Island with Your Bicycle"... Carrying Bag Service Opens

A Jeju Air employee is introducing the 'Bicycle Carrying Bag Service' to a passenger traveling to Jeju Island with a bicycle. This service provides an airline-approved bicycle carrying bag to safely transport the bicycle to the destination.

[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Jeju Air announced on the 10th that it will operate a ‘Bicycle Carrying Bag Service’ for bicycle travelers starting from the 20th.

The Bicycle Carrying Bag Service is a product that provides airline transport bicycle carrying bags to passengers who want to travel to Jeju Island with their own bicycles, ensuring the safe transportation of bicycles to the destination.

The service opens at 10 a.m. on the day and will be piloted from the 20th until the 30th of next month. The Bicycle Carrying Bag Service is limited to the Gimpo~Jeju (Jeju~Gimpo) route, with Gimpo departures available from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., and Jeju departures available from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. only for flights using the carrying bag.

The carrying bag service is available only to passengers who purchase tickets with Fly Bag or Fly Bag Plus fares, which include checked baggage, and provides an additional 5 kg of excess baggage along with the rental of the airline transport carrying bag. It is not available for Fly fares.

Cancellations of the carrying bag service are possible up to 3 days before the initial departure date; cancellations are not allowed after that. For example, for a journey departing on the 20th, cancellations are possible only until the 17th.

The Bicycle Carrying Bag Service requires passengers to disassemble and assemble their bicycles themselves, so bringing assembly tools is mandatory. Considering the time needed to disassemble the bicycle and pack it into the carrying bag, it is recommended to arrive at the airport one hour earlier than usual. Meanwhile, to commemorate the launch of the Bicycle Carrying Bag Service, Jeju Air is offering a discount on the product, which normally costs 80,000 KRW round-trip, at 50,000 KRW during the period until June 30th.

Until the 20th, an event is also being held where participants who boast about their bicycles on SNS using the hashtag #JejuAirCarryingBag will be entered into a draw to receive a Bicycle Carrying Bag experience voucher.
