President Moon's Top End-of-Term Task: 'Overcoming COVID-19' 29.5%... 2nd Place is Real Estate Stability [Realmeter]

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] The Moon Jae-in administration's top policy tasks to actively pursue during the remaining one year of its term were ranked as 'Overcoming COVID-19' and 'Stabilizing the Real Estate Market' in first and second place, respectively.

On the 10th, according to a survey conducted by Realmeter commissioned by YTN's 'The News' on the 7th, targeting 500 men and women nationwide aged 18 and older, the responses showed that 'Overcoming COVID-19 including securing vaccines' (29.5%) and 'Stabilizing the real estate market' (24.8%) were the highest.

Following these were 'National unity and integration' (14.4%), 'Job creation' (14.1%), 'Establishing peace on the Korean Peninsula' (7.9%), and 'Others' (7.8%). The response 'Don't know' accounted for 1.5%.

While the priority of actively pursued tasks varied somewhat by region and age group, it is noteworthy that regardless of ideological inclination, both progressives and conservatives identified 'Overcoming COVID-19' and 'Stabilizing the real estate market' as the key tasks to be actively pursued during the remaining period.

Among respondents who identified their ideological inclination as 'conservative,' 30.1% chose 'Overcoming COVID-19 including securing vaccines' as the top priority task for the Moon administration's remaining term. Similarly, 28.1% of those who identified as 'progressive' and 32.8% of 'moderate' respondents also ranked this as their top priority.

Next, regarding 'Stabilizing the real estate market,' conservatives (24.8%), progressives (27.8%), and moderates (25.6%) all responded that it was the second priority task regardless of ideology.

Afterwards, conservatives selected 'National unity and integration (24.1%)', progressives chose 'Establishing peace on the Korean Peninsula (16.5%)', and moderates answered 'Job creation (15.0%)'.

This survey contacted 10,830 people nationwide aged 18 and older, with a final 500 respondents completing the survey, resulting in a response rate of 4.6%. The sampling error is ±4.4 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
