Overcoming 'Corona Blue' Through Sharing Projects... Mapo-gu Sharing Promotion Project Contest Activities of the multi-child family shared garden 'Mapo Famillim' selected last year as a shared promotion project

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Mapo-gu (Mayor Yudonggyun) is conducting a 'Mapo-gu Sharing Promotion Project' contest to support sharing activities in the private sector, maximize resource utilization within the region, and solve social problems through sharing.

The application period is until May 21, and this time, a designated category called 'Sharing Projects to Overcome the Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Crisis' has been selected to focus support on sharing projects that help overcome COVID-19.

Other free categories include ▲sharing of goods ▲space sharing projects utilizing idle spaces (vacant houses, empty offices, vacant parking lots, etc.) ▲sharing of talents, knowledge, and experiences ▲school-linked sharing projects, and any other sharing projects are also eligible to apply.

This project has a total budget of 20 million KRW and will be conducted by dividing into designated and free categories. Selected projects will receive up to 5 million KRW per project after review by the Mapo-gu Sharing Promotion Committee and the Local Subsidy Deliberation Committee.

Applicants must be resident groups of three or more people living or having a living area in the district, non-profit private organizations, non-profit corporations, social cooperatives, etc., aiming to promote sharing projects within Mapo-gu. Interested applicants can download the application form from the Mapo-gu Office website notice board, fill it out, and submit it by mail or email (psunnice@mapo.go.kr).

The district will comprehensively review the project's feasibility and sharing promotion effects and select the final projects in July. Selected projects will sign an agreement with Mapo-gu and carry out the project until November.

Last year, five projects, including shared gardens and shared kitchen projects, were selected, and despite the COVID-19 situation, various untact projects such as online education and drive-thru kit delivery were promoted, contributing to the spread of sharing culture in daily life.

For more details, please refer to the announcement on the Mapo-gu Office website or contact the Autonomous Administration Division, Village Autonomy Team for guidance.

Yudonggyun, Mayor of Mapo-gu, said, “Through this sharing promotion project, we hope to solve social problems such as overcoming COVID-19 and further spread voluntary sharing culture in the private sector,” and added, “We look forward to the active participation of companies, organizations, and local residents who share the purpose of this contest.”
