Korean Traditional Culture University Special Exhibition 'Sense of Balance, Culture of the Joseon Royal Family' Held
The Traditional Culture Product Development Office at Korea National University of Cultural Heritage announced on the 9th that it will hold a special exhibition titled "Sense of Balance, Culture of the Joseon Royal Court" from the 12th of this month to the 6th of next month at the Jeonju Craft Exhibition Hall in Jeonju Hanok Village, Jeollabuk-do. About forty craft products interpreting the phrase "Geomi Bulru Hwailbuchi (儉而不陋 華而不侈·Frugal but not shabby, splendid but not extravagant)" as a sense of balance will be displayed.
Thirteen current students and alumni participated in the production. The exhibition features items themed around "The King's Rest," "The King's Attire: Uigeumsang-gyeong," and "The King's Space," including lanterns, tea sets, handbags shaped like incense pouches, hats shaped like head coverings, ceramic boxes, tea utensils, and stone water incense burners. The Development Office explained, "Visitors can glimpse the beauty of the Joseon royal court created through the artistic sensibility and creative passion of young artists."
Visiting hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the exhibition is closed on Mondays. Admission is free, and some works are available for purchase. For more details, please refer to the website of the Traditional Culture Product Development Office at Korea National University of Cultural Heritage.
