Expressing Gratitude to Elderly in Busan on Parents' Day
Korea Housing Finance Corporation held a sharing event on the 7th at Jaseongdae Senior Welfare Center in Dong-gu, Busan, a day before Parents' Day, to give carnations to elderly neighbors living alone.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, President Choi Jun-woo) delivered carnations to elderly neighbors living alone at the Jaseongdae Senior Welfare Center in Dong-gu, Busan, on the 7th, a day before Parents' Day.
Through the sharing event titled "Carnations in Full Bloom, Smiles in Full Bloom," carnations worth 10 million won were gifted.
On this day, HF Corporation delivered flower gifts to 13,000 elderly living alone who are suffering from feelings of isolation and depression through the Busan Senior Welfare Center Association (President Park Si-woo) and the Busan Center for Comprehensive Support for Elderly Living Alone (Director Park Sun-hee).
An official from the corporation said, "In celebration of May, the month of family, we organized this event to alleviate the loneliness of elderly people living alone and to express our gratitude," adding, "We will continue to promote various social contribution activities for the happy later life of the elderly."
